Hygiene Cleaning & Fillings

The most common procedure at our dentist office is routine hygiene cleanings. We recommend you schedule a cleaning twice a year. Hygiene cleaning appointments not only help to remove plaque buildup, but usually give your dentist an opportunity to perform x-rays and exams. These preventative measures can help keep your smile healthy year round. If we find that you have a cavity, Beech Dentistry can provide fillings.

Digital X-Rays / Digital Panoramic X-Rays

Digital X-rays are designed to provide the clearest and most accurate diagnostic image possible. It also gives the patient up to 90% less radiation than conventional film x-rays.

Oral Cancer Screenings

Among our general dental services are oral cancer screenings. During a routine visit, we will run a series of tests to check for signs of oral cancer. If you would like to learn more about these screenings or schedule one during your next appointment, call us.

Periodontal Concerns

Routine cleanings can also help catch gingivitis and periodontitis. These are serious infections that if left untreated can lead to tooth loss. If you find that your gums bleed during brushing, flossing, or eating, this may be a sign of gum disease. While bleeding does not indicate the severity or complexity of the disease, it is important to book an appointment with Dr. Nayyar to ensure that you get the treatment needed..

Oral Surgery & Wisdom Teeth Extraction

Oral surgeries are performed at Beech Dentistry. Surgery may be needed in various scenarios including impacted teeth, tooth loss, or jaw-related problems. One of the most common oral surgeries is removing wisdom teeth that fail to emerge properly or have become entrapped in the jawbone and gum tissue. To learn more about the oral surgeries we provide, contact us.

Root Canal

A root canal is a type of treatment that repairs and saves a tooth from decay and infection. The first step in a root canal procedure is to remove the nerve and pulp of the problem tooth. The inside of the tooth is then cleaned and sealed. Don’t worry the pulp inside adult teeth takes on a secondary role as a sensory organ, therefore losing the pulp and nerves inside it will not create a significant amount of change to your smile.

Crowns & Bridges

Crowns and bridges are available for cracked, broken, decayed, or worn teeth. A dental crown acts as a cap for your tooth, covering it to restore shape, size, strength, and appearance. If you are missing one or more teeth, we recommend getting a dental bridge. A bridge will fill in the gap made by your missing teeth, keeping your remaining teeth from shifting and disrupting your bite.

Nitrous Oxide

One method of sedation is nitrous oxide also known as laughing gas. This is an anesthetic, colourless gas that is inhaled during your dental treatment. It has a pleasant smell and taste. It will not put you to sleep and you can still respond to any questions or requests. For more information on nitrous oxide and other sedation methods, give us a call.
