Meet Our Staff
Hi, my name is Dr. Roger Nayyar, and I am the owner of Beech Dentistry. Let me tell you a little bit about myself:
I was born in a small town just outside of Ottawa, Ontario back in 1969. My family and I ended up settling in Toronto a couple of years later. Growing up in this vibrant city, I was exposed to its many attributes and services. I ended up playing sports, joining the Boy Scouts and playing musical instruments until the time I was ready to finish high school.
I ended up going to the University of Toronto in 1988 and completing my Bachelor of Science in 1991. After that, I attended the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, completing the program in 1996. During my time at this school, I took a particular interest in treating patients directly, including those less fortunate due to life circumstances.
After coming back to Ontario, I started working as an associate dentist for almost 10 years in Pickering, Toronto and Belleville. During this time, I realized how satisfying it was to treat patients and see them happy once their work was completed. I also learned that I was ultimately meant to be my own boss. In 2006, I bought what is now my present dental office called Beech Dentistry, which I felt gave me the full freedom to help people.
Part of helping people involves keeping up-to-date with changing ideas and technology. Throughout my dental career, I have taken continuing education courses, such as endodontic (root canal) courses and various implant courses that allow one to stay current with the ever-changing techniques and philosophies in this ever-changing field. I believe that this is vitally important to allow for one to give the best that they can to their patients.
After moving to Brampton, and taking over a long-standing practice, I got to learn about the patients and the local community. My wife Aparna and our two kids, Bhavika and Krish, along with myself, have become well integrated into the community, enjoying its many attributes. I enjoy being a member of the Cobra Swim Club and taking part in various activities in the YMCA. I also appreciate music and take joy in playing the guitar. My daughter also loves music and is a part of the Rosebuds Orchestra of Brampton. My son plays in the Brampton Hockey League.
My wife and I have been running this practice together and you will see her at most times helping out. I believe that being well connected to your family and community allows one to connect with people of all ages. Our practice brings this concept of connectivity to our office environment. I believe that in keeping the stress low and the quality high, my team and I can have a very positive effect on people from the time they enter the dental office until the time they leave. It is that simple. I invite you to give us a try, so that we can implement our philosophy to help your dental needs.
Tina is our main receptionist and office manager. She is usually the first person on the team to greet you and the last person to see you leave. Her pleasant and professional manner has been appreciated by patients and staff alike. Tina brings with her many years of experience in the dental field and in the business world. Her knowledge and ability to deal with many issues in the day-to-day practice of dentistry have made her a great asset to Beech Dentistry. Tina enjoys spending time with her family and friends, as well as rollerblading and travelling.
Vivian is the other half of our 2-hygienist ensemble. She, like Marie, brings with her multiple years of experience as well as an incredible work ethic that shines through in her thoroughness with each patient. She is always ready and able to answer questions you may have about a given dental procedure. Vivian resides next to Brampton in the Caledon area, as she is an outdoors person at heart. Her hobbies include travelling and any activity that involves the outdoors.
Cindy is our true Brampton girl. She has been a lifelong resident of this community, living mostly in the downtown area. She is our second dental assistant and provides the whole office with a happy, upbeat attitude. Having years of experience has taught her how to put people first while being able to function in any dental procedure setting. Cindy's hobbies include travelling, going to her cottage and participating in activities that involve the local community.
Marie is one of our two principal hygienists here at Beech Dentistry. She brings with her a youthful, yet gentle approach to her job. Her years of experience are apparent, as she is able to strike a balance with patients between excellent communication and thoroughness in her work. Marie grew up right here in Brampton and presently resides with her family in the area, raising her 2 daughters. Her hobbies include playing guitar and running.
Tammy is one of our 2 dental assistants. Tammy brings with her years of dental assisting experience, and this experience shows as she is comfortable in any situation while still maintaining a kind-hearted attitude toward all patients.
